Questions? Answered.
Everything you need to know about working with HartFelt Careers, how we work, what it costs, and what to expect.
What industries does HartFelt Careers specialize in?
We focus exclusively on logistics and supply chain, including 3PL, freight brokerage, warehousing, last-mile delivery, cold chain, intermodal, and supply chain operations. This specialization means we already understand the roles, the market, and the talent landscape before we start your search.
What types of roles do you fill?
We place operations and sales talent across logistics: carrier and freight sales, account management, Warehouse and DC Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Directors of Operations and Business Development, VPs of Sales, Regional Directors, and C-suite leadership. If the position directly impacts your revenue or your operational throughput, it's likely in our wheelhouse.
What size companies do you work with?
Every size. Owner-operated brokerages, growing 3PLs, and national operators. Headcount matters far less than whether the seat is important enough that getting it wrong would hurt. If you are not sure whether we are a fit, that is exactly what the discovery call is for.
How does your pricing work?
We offer three engagement models: Engaged Search, Retained Search, and Contingent Search. The right one depends on the seniority of the role and the level of commitment that fits your situation. We'll walk through specifics on your discovery call.
What are the differences between your three models?
Engaged Search is our most common model: an engagement fee upfront plus a placement fee on hire. Used for Director and senior mid-level roles. Retained Search is reserved for executive placements (VP, C-suite), structured as milestone payments through the search. Contingent Search is performance-based with no upfront commitment, used for well-defined individual-contributor roles. All three include a replacement guarantee, extended on Executive Search.
Is there a cost for the discovery call?
No. The discovery call is a free, 30-minute conversation. We use it to understand your hiring situation, answer your questions, and determine whether we're a good fit.
How long does it take to fill a role?
It depends on the role, the market, and how quickly your team can interview. We'll set realistic expectations at kickoff and keep you updated in real time through your portal.
What does your vetting process look like?
Every candidate is interviewed against your specific role, and their references are called, before they're presented to you. You'll see a full candidate profile, not just a resume, with our read on their fit, their strengths, and any areas to probe in interviews.
What is the client portal?
Our proprietary client portal gives you full visibility into every active search. You can review candidate profiles, track pipeline progress, submit interview feedback, and communicate with our team, all in one place. No more email chains or status-update calls. Included with Engaged Search and Retained Search engagements.
What happens after someone is hired?
We don't disappear after the offer letter. We support the onboarding transition, check in at 30, 60, and 90 days, and stay available to help if anything comes up. Our goal is retention, not just placement.
What if the hire doesn't work out?
Every placement carries a replacement guarantee, extended on Executive Search. If the hire leaves or is terminated within the guarantee window, we restart the search at no additional cost. The length depends on your engagement and is documented in your agreement.
